Report: Spurs ‘will certainly return’ for star they missed out on this summer

A report from Calciomercato.it has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are set to make another attempt to snap up Dusan Vlahovic after missing out on the striker this summer.

When Harry Kane’s future at Tottenham looked in doubt during the summer, Vlahovic was mooted as a target for the North London club.

Alasdair Gold even claimed during the transfer window that the Serbian international was Fabio Paratici’s number one striker target.

However, in the end, Kane’s proposed move to Manchester City was thwarted while Vlahovic also remained at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.

Calciomercato.it have now suggested that the 21-year-old could be on the move next summer instead.

The report claims that Tottenham and Atletico Madrid ‘will certainly return’ for Vlahovic after missing out on him this summer, while the Viola star is also on the radar of Juventus.

The report also sheds light on the future of another striker linked with Spurs during the summer in Lautaro Martinez.

Despite renewing his contract at Inter Milan, it is said that the Argentine could also be sold next summer, with Barcelona thought to be his preferred destination.

Spurs Web Opinion

On the one hand, Vlahovic will have only one year left on his contract with Fiorentina next summer if he does not sign a new deal. So, his price would come down considerably.

On the other hand, we are also likely to face much more competition for the 21-year-old in 12 months time, particularly if he keeps up his current form.
