Report: Spurs will have to fight 10 other clubs for youngster they are scouting

HITC have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are one of several clubs in the Premier League and across Europe to be plotting a move for Fiorentina’s rising star Michael Kayode.

Kayode was a complete unknown to most Italian football fans when he arrived at Florence from Serie D side Gozzano last summer.

However, the 19-year-old has been one of the best full-backs on show in the Italian top flight this season and his reputation seems to be growing with each passing game.

HITC claim that Spurs are one of the clubs who have sent their scouts to the Artemio Franchi Stadium to watch the youngster in recent weeks.

The report reveals that representatives from Arsenal, Chelsea, Aston Villa and West Ham United have also been spotted at the venue.

The outlet adds that the Italy Under-21 international’s list of admirers continues to grow, with the likes of Inter Milan, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Napoli also now keen on securing his services.

With Paratici still very much involved in Tottenham’s recruitment decisions, there is no doubt that the North London club will be keeping an eye on the best-emerging talent from the Serie A.

Kayode is undoubtedly one of the most exciting young players in the division at the moment, with the Fiorentina star not being too dissimilar to Destiny Udogie.
