Report: Spurs will look to sign Spain international under one condition

GiveMeSport have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in a move for Dani Olmo but only if a bidding war does not erupt for the player this summer.

Olmo’s reputation has blossomed at RB Leipzig over the last few years and the attacking midfielder is now a regular part of the Spanish national side.

The 25-year-old, who has eight goals and five assists to his name across all competitions so far this season, has been backed to leave the Red Bull Arena this summer, with various outlets suggesting over recent months that Spurs have an eye on the Spaniard (Daily Mail).

However, Tottenham are not the only ones thought to be eyeing Olmo, with reports indicating that Man City and Real Madrid are also fans of the midfielder (Bild via Sport Witness).

Spurs do not want a bidding war for Dani Olmo

GiveMeSport have now become the latest outlet to reveal that Tottenham are looking at the possibility of landing Olmo this summer.

The outlet claims that Ange Postecoglou himself has identified the Leipzig star as someone who would seamlessly fit into his system and add creativity to his side.

It is pointed out that Spurs have a good relationship with the Bundesliga side after agreeing the Timo Werner deal in January and may look to use that to that advantage.

However, the publication makes it clear that the Lilywhites will only make a move for Olmo if it becomes clear that they are not facing significant competition for his signature.
