Report: Spurs will meet striker’s agent to test water over potential deal

According to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb, Tottenham’s representatives are set to meet with Dusan Vlahovic’s agent to understand whether a deal to bring the Serbian to North London will be feasible this summer.

While some Spurs fans on social media are understandably excited about the club’s rumoured approach for Lautuaro Martinez, the speculation linking Tottenham with fellow Serie A marksman, Vlahovic, is showing no signs of slowing down.

Reports emerged from Italy a few days ago that Spurs were competing with Atletico Madrid and Arsenal for the Fiorentina man.

TMW have now revealed Atletico are currently the front-runners for the Serbian international’s signature.

The report reveals the La Liga giants have come the closest to meeting the Viola’s €70m (£59.2m) valuation of the striker.

However, it is explained that Vlahnovic’s agent, Darko Ristic will be in Milan on Tuesday where he is expected to meet with representatives from Spurs.

While Fiorentina are said to be in the midst of negotiating a new contract with the 21-year-old, it is asserted the club could be swayed to sell the striker for the right offer, with various meetings scheduled over the next few days.

Spurs Web Opinion

While Vlahovic is undoubtedly a fantastic talent, £60m is quite a steep asking price. If we theoretically get £150m for Kane, I am not sure if it would be in Tottenham’s best interest to spend almost the entirety of the budget on Lautaro Martinez and Dusan Vlahovic given the various other areas of the pitch that need strengthening.
