Report: Spurs will step forward again to sign striker in January

A report from Tuttomercatoweb has backed Tottenham Hotspur to return with an offer for Arkadiusz Milik during the January transfer window.

Milik was said to be one of two main targets Spurs had narrowed their chase for a striker down to towards the end of the transfer window, with the other being Carlos Vinicius (Football.London’s Alasdair Gold).

Spurs eventually ended up getting a deal for the Benfica player over the line with just a few days left in the transfer window.

Corriere dello Sport reported last week that Milik has been frozen out at Napoli since failing to seal a transfer away from the San Paolo Stadium.

Tuttomercatoweb also confirm that the striker is not part of the Napoli squad and that the only football he will play until the January transfer window will be during international outings with Poland.

The report claims that Milik could decide to wait until next summer and leave on a free transfer but with the Euros coming, he might be tempted to push for a move in January.

Tottenham and Everton are both said to be tracking his situation and it is alleged that they could return for his services in January.

Spurs Web Opinion

The fact that we have singed Vinicius on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy next summer, leaves the door open for us to potentially snap up Milik when he becomes a free agent. A lot will depend on how well the Brazilian does at Spurs and whether he convinces Jose that he is good enough to sign on a permeant deal.
