Report: Spurs willing to offer player improved wages and bonus to sign for them

Sport have reported that Tottenham Hotspur remain in the picture to compete for the signature of Real Madrid’s Lucas Vazquez this summer (via SportWitness).

The Los Blancos attacker is seemingly set to see his contract run out following the end of the current campaign and would be available on a free transfer.

Sport claim that the winger currently earns around €3.5m per season with Real Madrid. The Daily Mirror reported last week that Vazquez is open to the idea of linking up with Jose Mourinho once again, this time in North London.

The Spanish giants reportedly offered Vazquez a new three-year contract but with a 10% reduction in his current wages, something the player was not interested in.

The report claims that Spurs are willing to give Vazquez a wage increase, as well as a transfer bonus, if he signs with them on a free in the summer. However, Bayern Munich have apparently taken the lead on proceedings heading into the transfer window.
