Report: Spurs willing to sell World Cup star for just £25m

Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to accept a bid of just £25million from Italian giants Juventus for Kieran Trippier this summer.

The Telegraph report that the right-back is one of the players that Mauricio Pochettino is willing to allow to leave in order for him to generate transfer funds to re-invest back into his side ahead of the new campaign.

Trippier has struggled with form with Spurs during the season which just ended and also had a number of niggling groin issues which limited his time to rehabilitate due to the number of fixtures that came thick and fast when the campaign was in full flow.

There were high hopes that the former Burnley man would come back and be one of Pochettino’s key players after his impressive displays for England at last summer’s World Cup which saw him score a stunning free-kick in the semi-final defeat to Croatia.

The 28-year-old was recently cut from Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the UEFA Nations League fixtures in Portugal and a fresh start could be just what he needs to revitalise his career.

The report claims that new Juve boss Maurizio Sarri believes that Trippier would do well in Serie A and is their first choice to replace Joao Cancelo, who could be heading to Manchester City.
