Report: Spurs wish to sign three more players before window closes

The Times have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur wish to sign a centre-forward, another centre-back and a midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Tuesday was a busy day at Hotspur Way, with two more additions in the form of Alejo Veliz and Micky van de Ven arriving through the door.

If The Times’ latest update is to be believed, Spurs are still eyeing a number of additions before the window shuts on August 2.

It could be a busy end to the window for Spurs

The report claims that the North London club still anticipate Harry Kane to leave, which is why they plan to step up their interest in Gent’s Gift Orban, with the Nigerian expected to serve as Richarlison’s understudy during the upcoming campaign.

The outlet adds that with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg keen on joining Atletico Madrid, Tottenham also want to strengthen in the middle of the park.

Finally, it is explained that the Lilywhites are also eyeing another centre-back, with Torino’s Perr Schuurs said to be at the top of the club’s wishlist.

However, the publication reveals that Spurs would have to offload Joe Rodon, Davinson Sanchez and Japhet Tanganga before making a move for the Dutchman.

Tottenham’s targets will likely change considerably depending on whether or not Kane stays. If the striker ends up leaving, the club would have a lot more money to spend and could thus target bigger names for the centre-back and central midfield roles.
