Report: Spurs would have to break transfer record to land striker

According to the Daily Star, Wolves are said to value striker Raul Jimenez at £80million.

Jimenez has been one of the standout strikers in the Premier League since moving to Molineux impressing not just with his ability to score goals but also to link-up play and holding the ball up.

ESPN reported earlier this month that both Tottenham and Arsenal were interested in the 28-year-old striker, who has scored 22 goals this campaign in all competitions (transfermarkt) this campaign.

AS, meanwhile report that Real Madrid have also entered the race for the striker after Zinedine Zidane identified the Wolves frontman as the ideal partner for Karim Benzema.

Spurs already had their work cut out to attract Jimenez but their job just got a lot harder after the Daily Star reported that Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have issued a ‘hands-off’ warning to any club making an approach which includes Manchester United.

Wolves’ billionaire Chinese owners are determined to make the Black Country club one of the major players in the Premier League and will show their financial muscle by proving they no longer have to sell players

Spurs Web Opinion

Jimenez is probably the most well-rounded striker in the Premier League after Harry Kane. The Wolves star has very few weaknesses to his game and is always a threat to opposing defences. While I would love for us to sign him, there is no chance that he would move to us if we still have Harry Kane.
