Rai Sport have claimed that Tottenham may want to replace one former Chelsea manager with another if they sack Jose Mourinho in the near future (as relayed by Sport Witness).

It is said that the North London club are looking at Maurizio Sarri as a possible successor to the Special One in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hot-seat.

Sarri was sacked from his role at Juventus after winning the Serie A title and has not yet dipped back into management.

However, it is reported that he would like to return to his former stomping ground, Napoli if given the chance and has already rejected proposals from some other teams. Despite this, the report adds that Tottenham have not yet made any official offer to Sarri.

Sarri joined Chelsea back in 2018 and managed to win the Europa League, as well as making a League Cup Final and finishing third in the Premier League in the 2018/19 season.

However, he left after just one successful campaign in London to manage Juventus.
