The Daily Mail claims that Tottenham Hotspur are yet to receive an offer for Serge Aurier this summer despite putting the right-back up for sale.

Reports over the past few weeks have indicated that Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan are both interested in signing the Ivory Coast international this summer (Corriere della Sera via Sport Witness).

The Mail suggests that with Spurs close to announcing a deal to sign Matt Doherty, they are now ready to find the former Paris Saint-Germain defender a new club.

The report claims that the Lilywhites have not received an official offer from any club for the defender, who they value in the region of £22million.

Meanwhile, The Evening Standard has also backed up The Mail’s claim that Doherty’s impending arrival has opened the door for Aurier to complete his transfer away from North London.

They reveal that the 27-year-old, who has two years left on his contract with Spurs, has shown no interest in signing a new deal.

It is claimed that Aurier been open to a move away from the club for the past two summers and this could be the year that he finally gets his wish.

It is pretty clear by now that Aurier is on his way out of Spurs but I would be extremely surprised if we were to start our season with Doherty as our only natural right-back. While Gedson and Tanganga might be able to do a job in the position, I believe Jose will consider it too much of a risk to rely on those two should Doherty pick up an injury.
