According to The Sunderland Echo, Tottenham youngster Aaron Skinner is currently having a trial at Sunderland.
Skinner came through Bury’s academy and represented the Lancashire side from Under-13s to Under-18 level before joining the Tottenham academy in 2019 (Tottenhamhotspur.com).
The 18-year-old put in some impressive displays for Spurs’ Under-18s last season and has even turned out for the Under-23s this campaign.
Sunderland Echo claim that the versatile defender is now undergoing a trial at the North East but the report does not mention if the League One club are hoping to tie up a loan deal or a permanent deal for the youngster should he impress during his trial.
Skinner featured for Sunderland’s Under-23s in their 1-1 draw against rivals Newcastle on Monday.
The Tottenham youngster played all ninety minutes in the North East derby and put in an impressive display to help his side earn a point.
There has been no official update from Tottenham as of yet regarding Skinner’s trail at the Black Cats.
