Speaking a week ago, Cambridge head coach Colin Calderwood praised the role which the Spurs youngster has played in the first half of the campaign and revealed his intention to retain him for the remainder of the season (Cambridge News).

Now with his return to the League Two club confirmed, Roles took to social media to post the following message:

Spurs Web Opinion

I was left particularly impressed with Roles’ intelligence and awareness during his cameos in pre-season and I believe that he has quite a high ceiling. I was hoping we would get to see him compete at a higher level than League Two after impressing with Cambridge. However, he needs to play regularly at his age and so it is certainly a good move for him.
