Report: Spurs keen to wrap up early deal for 26-year-old – Already putting contract together

According to Football Insider, there has now been a ‘major development’ in Tottenham’s pursuit of Ryan Fraser with the North Londoners currently said to be putting together a lucrative contract offer for the Bournemouth star.

There have been several contradictory reports surrounding Spurs’ rumoured chase for Fraser this month.

It was initially reported that the winger, whose contract with Bournemouth runs out this summer, had told friends that he was keen on joining the Lilywhites.

While Arsenal too were said to be interested in the Cherries star (90min), The Mirror established Tottenham as the favourites to land him.

However, The Express claimed last week that Spurs are unlikely to move for the 26-year-old as Jose Mourinho was not convinced he had enough quality for the club.

Football Insider now reports that Spurs are firmly in the battle for Fraser and are working behind the scenes to have a deal for him completed early.

It is said that Tottenham will soon offer a lucrative contract to entice the Scotland international after he rejected Bournemouth’s attempts to tie him down to a new deal.

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe that Fraser would be a solid squad option if we manage to get him. His versatility means that he can cover multiple positions. With Mourinho seemingly keen on adding another winger (either Willian or Fraser) despite having Bergwijn, Son, Lucas and Lamela in the squad, I suspect that he wants to adopt a 4-3-3 next season rather than the 4-2-3-1.
