Fabrizio Romano has revealed that rumoured Tottenham target Andre Onana has a verbal agreement to join Inter Milan at the end of the season.
With Hugo Lloris now into the final year of his contract at Tottenham, it has been reported that the club are on the lookout for the Frenchman’s successor.
90 min reported two weeks ago that Tottenham could move for Onana, whose contract at Ajax runs out at the end of the season.
The report suggested that Antonio Conte has been an admirer of the Cameroon international for a long time and has informed Fabio Paratici of his desire to have him in North London.
It was also asserted that the 25-year-old had decided not to extend his stay at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
While Romano has now backed up the claim regarding Onana’s decision to leave Ajax at the end of the season, the journalist revealed that the goalkeeper seems to be on his way to Inter.
He explained that although Onana has not signed a pre-contract agreement with the Nerrazuri, he has verbally agreed to join the club as a free agent at the end of the season.

Romano later reported that Onana had confirmed his impending exit from Ajax:
André Onana confirms he’s gonna leave Ajax: “When you open 1 door, you have to close it one day. Maybe for me the time has come to go. I have done my best for this club, I have done everything”. 🇨🇲 #Ajax @TheEuropeanLad

Spurs Web Opinion
I suspect that the reason Spurs are looking at various goalkeeping options is due to their fear that Lloris might reject a contract offer. Hopefully, things will become clearer on the goalkeeping front over the next few weeks as one would expect the club to hold talks with the Frenchman sooner rather than later.
