Spurs continue to be at the forefront of speculation regarding Santiago Gimenez’s future, and it is now believed the Feyenoord striker would prefer a move to the Premier League this summer despite interest elsewhere.

It seems a new striker is at the top of Tottenham‘s shopping list this summer, and Gimenez is a name that has continually been mooted as an option for the Lilywhites.
Apparently, Gimenez has been earmarked as one of Tottenham’s top targets and the North London side are thought to be upping their efforts to sign him (HITC).
With 26 goals this season, it’s not surprising that other clubs are interested, though. According to TUDUN in Mexico, AC Milan are also keen.

Gimenez wants to come to England amid Spurs links
The latest comes from TV Azteca, with a report claiming Gimenez is almost certainly set to leave the Netherlands in the coming months, and it seems he has his heart set on a move to the Premier League.
It is thought the 23-year-old’s time at Feyenoord is “coming to an end” as he looks to play in a more competitive league in Europe. However, he is expected to wait until after Copa America to decide on his next step.
It is unclear what club will sign Gimenez, but he is believed to be likely to “end up opting” for a switch to the Premier League now, despite his representatives preferring a move to Spain.
Liverpool and newly-promoted Southampton also have Gimenez on their radar, but it is suggested Spurs are the frontrunners as things stand.
Spurs Web Opinion
I do really like Gimenez and he’s clearly got an eye for goal and very likely fits the profile of the kind of forward we are looking for. The only concern for me is the fact goals in Holland don’t always translate to success in England, but we may have to take that risk.
