Report: Striker not that keen on Spurs move, hoping to join ‘one of the greats’

According to a report in the print edition of Mundo Deportivo (as relayed by Sport Witness), Tottenham are interested in Sevilla star Youssef En-Nesyri but the striker is not enthusiastic about the prospect of joining the North London club.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold revealed earlier this week that Spurs are keen to sign a striker who can serve as Harry Kane’s back-up this summer after passing up on the option of signing Carlos Vinicius permanently.

En-Nesyri, who exploded into life for Sevilla last season with 24 goals in all competitions, is one of the options on Spurs’ radar, if Mundo Deportivo are to be believed.

The report explains that Tottenham’s London rivals, West Ham United are also showing interest in the Morocco international.

However, it is alleged that the 24-year-old is not overly keen on a move to either Premier League club and is hoping ‘one of the greats’ will arrive with an offer.

It is also explained that Sevilla might be forced to cash in on En-Nesyri if they fail to find a buyer who is willing to meet their valuation for another rumoured Tottenham target in Jules Kounde.

Spurs Web Opinion

Paratici’s task of being able to attract top young talent to Spurs will be made difficult by the fact that we are not in the Champions League. However, what will make the Italian’s pursuit for a new striker even harder is the fact that the likes of Vlahovic and En-Nesyri would not want to come to the club knowing they would be playing second fiddle to Kane.
