Report: Striker set to be in London today to finalise move

Football Insider claim that Benfica striker Carlos Vinicius will be in London today to finalise his move to Tottenham Hotspur after the Lilywhites agreed on a deal with the Portuguese club.

Over the last twenty-four hours, multiple sources including Football.London’s Alasdair Gold have revealed that Spurs have agreed to sign the striker on a season-loan deal, with the option to make the deal permanent next summer.

Gold also claimed that Jose Mourinho would be over the moon to land Vinicius as the Brazilian was his number one striker target this summer.

Football Insider now revealed that Spurs reached a breakthrough in their negotiations with Benfica yesterday and are now confident of getting the deal over the line soon.

The report claims that Benfica have given the green light for the 25-year-old to be in London to complete the transfer today and will undergo a medical.

They reveal that Vinicius will join initially on a loan deal, with Spurs having an option to buy him for £36million.
