Report: Striker with 48 Premier League goals still remains on Tottenham’s radar

According to a report in The Telegraph, Bournemouth striker, Josh King is still on Tottenham’s radar as the North Londoners continue to look for a suitable back up to Harry Kane.

Spurs have been linked with the likes of Arkadiusz Milik and Haris Seferovic over recent days but some reports indicate that the club are yet to decide on who their number one striker target is (Football.London’s Alasdair Gold).

The Sun claim that Jose Mourinho’s has been left frustrated by Tottenham’s inability to sign a striker so far this transfer window.

The Telegraph now reveal that Spurs could make a move for King in the coming weeks, with Bournemouth being open to letting the striker go for the right price.

Spurs can also sign the Norway international after the October 5 deadline as Premier League clubs can buy from the EFL for an additional 11 days.

The report asserts that Mourinho prefers to bring in a target man of the Fernando Llorente mould but King would also fit the bill due to his versatility.

Spurs Web Opinion

I would not have been surprised had we gone for a striker in of King’s profile before we got Bale. However, with the pace we have upfront now with the likes of Bale, Son, Bergwijn and Lucas, I am convinced that we will go for a target man of the Milik mould as that is the only kind of option we are lacking up front.
