Report: Striker won’t sign for West Ham until he sees if Spurs are interested

Tottenham Hotspur look as if they may secure two transfers in the coming days, with reports suggesting that Tanguy Ndombele (Standard) and Jack Clarke (BBC) are both nearing moves.

While it seems as if Pochettino is looking to bolster his midfield this summer, it remains to be seen whether he will invest in a new striker.

Forward signings have been tricky for Spurs, with Harry Kane being such a dominant first-team figure, it is unlikely that anyone could come in and take his place.

Spurs would therefore either have to sign someone who is happy being second choice or play two up front.

Tottenham have been linked to Celta Vigo striker, Maxi Gomez, this summer, with the goal scorer coming with a £43m price tag (Star).

West Ham are also said to be interested in the forward (Standard), but the Mirror now claim that Gomez will wait to see if Spurs want him before he considers the Hammers.
