Report: Striker’s transfer at risk of breaking down amidst Spurs and Liverpool links

Karim Adeyemi’s proposed move from RB Salzburg to Borussia Dortmund is at risk of collapsing with both clubs currently far apart in their valuations, according to German publication Rurh Nachrichten.

Adeyemi has burst onto the scene for Salzburg this season with his performances for the Austrian outfit, making him a full Germany international at just 20 years old.

The young striker’s displays have put him on the map for a potential transfer this summer, with Dortmund currently the club in pole position for his signature (Sky Germany).

But Ruhr Nachrichten claim a move to the Bundesliga has been complicated by both sides in a disagreement over an asking price upwards of £37 million.

The report states Dortmund are only keen on offering an amount in the range of £25 million which could place the deal in danger of falling through.

As such, that could spell good news for Tottenham who have been touted as suitors for Adeyemi (Sport1), who has netted 19 goals in 33 appearances this term (Transfermarkt).

However, Spurs’ interest has been rivalled by Liverpool according to Bild, who had allegedly been leading the chase for his signature last year.

Adeyemi is currently one of Europe’s top talents and as a striker, he definitely won’t come cheap. Salzburg has been a conveyor belt of talent in recent seasons and they’ve managed to craft another top player, so it will be a big fight for him come the summer.
