Report suggests Spurs may be able to secure Ndombele for this bargain price

Tottenham Hotspur may not have dipped into the transfer window in over 16 months, but they will have to invest this summer if they hope to progress next season.

Spurs finished in the top four in the Premier League and second in the Champions League, but have yet to replace first-team regular Mousa Dembele who left in January.

Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko have been the first choice central midfielders in the latter stages of the season, but Spurs have struggled with depth due to injuries.

One man who could solve all these issues in Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele, who the Daily Mail reported last month would cost Tottenham a whopping £89m.

However, Football London have now claimed that Spurs could pick the French powerhouse up for just £55m this summer, which would be a bargain considering his form over the past year both domestically and in the Champions League.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If this report is to be believed, I would be astounded and disappointed if Tottenham did not snap him up for this price. The 22-year-old looks like a world beater, and exactly the kind of player Tottenham need in that central midfield to replace Dembele and push Winks and Sissoko. Strength, solidity, power, and an eye for a pass and a goal too.
