According to a report in La Nazione, a deal for Bryan Gil would be easier for Fiorentina to complete than one for Augsbug’s Ruben Vargas.
It was the same publication (La Nazione), who reported on Tuesday that Fiorentina were set to turn their attention to one of Bryan Gil or Vargas after falling short in their attempts to sign Hellas Verona star Cyril Ngonge.
The report said that Napoli had beaten the Viola to the Belgian as the reigning Serie A champions were willing to pay a bigger fee, with the report adding that the Tottenham man could thus ‘regain importance’ for Vincenzo Italiano’s men.

Bryan Gil is a more realistic target for Fiorentina
La Nazione have now said that a move for the Spaniard has not yet been ‘completely ruled out’ by Fiorentina.
In fact, the report says that Ange Postecoglou’s men would be willing to authorise a paid loan move for the winger without any obligation to buy.
On the other hand, Augsburg are only interested in a straight cash sale of Vargas and are not entertaining any suggestions of a temporary offer.

It seems like Gil is not Fiorentina’s top target, which is all the more reason why the winger would hesitate to move to the Artemio Franchi Stadium on loan. The 22-year-old would likely prefer to return to home comforts of La Liga if he does make another temporary move away from Hotspur Way this month.
