Report: Super-agent in talks over three Spurs deadline-day signings

Super-agent Jorge Mendes is currently involved in negotiating three potential deadline-day deals for Tottenham Hotspur, Football Insider have revealed.

It looked set to be a lively deadline-day for Tottenham, with Emerson Royal on his way to North London and the club also being linked with Wolves’ duo Adama Traore and Ruben Neves.

However, multiple sources (including Football.London’s Alasdair Gold) are now reporting that Spurs are unlikely to snap up either Neves or Traore before the window closes.

If Football Insider’s latest update is to be believed, Spurs are still very much in the race for Traore and wish to add a couple of more players on top of the winger.

The same publication revealed yesterday that Traore had hired Mendes to help broker a move to Spurs.

They now claim that Mendes is also trying to help the Lilywhites complete two more signings – Granada centre-back Domingos Duarte and Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Palhinha.

While it is explained that Traore is the most likely of the three players to join Spurs, the report states that Mendes is expected to play a pivotal role in what promises to be a frantic deadline day for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.

Spurs Web Opinion

If we are to bring in one more player apart from Emerson before the window slams shut, I would prefer it to be an attacking addition like Traore rather than a midfielder. With Ndombele looking set to stay, I believe we have enough options in central midfield to cope at least until January.
