Report: Super-agent offers French midfielder to Tottenham

Super agent Pini Zahavi has reportedly offered Tottenham Hotspur the chance to sign Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson in the summer.

Zahavi is known to be close with Jose Mourinho, with the Israeli agent reportedly playing a key role in negotiating the deal to bring the Spurs boss to North London back in November (talkSPORT).

Sanson has been a consistent performer for Marseille over the last four seasons and has had an excellent campaign this time out for the Ligue 1 side.

The midfielder registered five goals and five assists during the current campaign before it ended early (transfermarkt.com) and his displays have been crucial in helping the club finish in second place in the table.

The Express reported back in February that Spurs were one of the clubs keeping an eye on the 25-year-old along with the likes of Everton, Manchester United, Southampton and West Ham.

L’ Equipe now report (as relayed by Foot Mercato) that Marseille are desperate to raise funds this summer and Sanson is one of the players they are ready to sell.

The report reveals that Zahavi, who represents Sanson has offered the midfielder to Tottenham, Arsenal and Everton.

It is suggested that the Ligue 1 club hope to get around €35-40 million for the Frenchman.

Spurs Web Opinion

Sanson is an underrated player who certainly has the engine, physicality as well as the technique to shine for a Premier League side. However, I don’t expect us to be interested in him as we already have a lot of players in the squad of a similar profile.
