Report: Super agent working on second Spurs transfer

According to a report in Portuguese publication Record, Porto striker Ze Luis could arrive at Tottenham this month as the North Londoners seek to add a forward to their squad following Harry Kane’s hamstring injury.

It is suggested that the Lilywhites could sign the striker on a loan deal until the end of the season and with an option to buy him in the summer.

The report claims that deal to bring Ze Luis to Spurs is being brokered by super-agent Jorge Mendes and that the initial agreement between the two clubs is in place.

It is revealed that it the 28-year-old striker is waiting for a work permit as he does not have a European passport but it is claimed that the parties are confident that the FA will approve the transfer.

Luis moved to Porto from Spartak Moscow just last summer and has scored 8 goals in 20 outings this season in all competitions (transfermarkt).

However, it looks like the striker could potentially be set for a move to North London after just six months at the Portuguese giants.

Spurs Web Opinion

Ze Luis’ goal scoring record isn’t particularly inspiring and at 28 years of age, he doesn’t really have much room for improvement. However, with Kane injured, we are desperately in need of a striker. This is a relatively risk-free transfer since we can choose not to exercise the option to buy him in the summer.
