talkSPORT have used a supercomputer to predict where Tottenham Hotspur and the other Premier League sides will finish in the 2021/22 campaign.
It has been a mixed start to the season under Nuno Espirito Santo, who has recorded four wins and three defeats from his first seven fixtures in charge of Tottenham.
Spurs currently sit in eighth, but the algorithm has predicted the Portuguese coach will guide the side to a seventh-place finish, which would represent no improvement from last season.
It would also mean yet another season without Champions League football, which is something the club have missed out on since the 2019/20 campaign.
The computer placed Spurs just above North London rivals Arsenal, who occupy the eighth position, but behind Rafael Benitez’s Everton who take sixth.
It also expects Chelsea to claim the Premier League title this season following their strong start to proceedings, while Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United round out the top four spots.
The full table is as follows:
- Chelsea
- Man City
- Liverpool
- Man United
- West Ham
- Everton
- Tottenham
- Arsenal
- Leicester City
- Aston Villa
- Brentford
- Brighton
- Crystal Palace
- Leeds
- Wolves
- Southampton
- Newcastle
- Burnley
- Watford
- Norwich City
Spurs Web Opinion
There isn’t too much to argue about a seventh-place finish, as that is the level the side has been performing at so far. It hasn’t been overly convincing, but we will get more of an indication as to where Spurs may finish as the busy period of fixtures gets closer.
