Report: Suspect in murder of Serge Aurier’s brother turns himself in

According to the latest reports from France, a suspect in the murder of Serge Aurier’s brother, Christopher Aurier has handed himself into French police.

Christopher Aurier was reportedly shot outside a night club in Toulouse in the early hours on Monday morning.

It was initially reported that the authorities were still on the lookout for the shooter. L’Equipe (as relayed by The Sun) now report that a suspect admitted to the murder on Tuesday evening, less than 48 hours after the incident occurred.

The suspect is said to have turned himself in at around 6 pm at the central police station in Toulouse (according to Sud Ouest).

The suspect is currently being held by the French authorities but the nation’s privacy laws mean that he cannot be named.

Meanwhile, French outlet, La Depeche (via The Sun) reveals that the shooting may have arisen because of a “love dispute”.

I am sure more details will follow in the next few days and weeks as the police try to get to the bottom of the murder. It is commendable that Serge decided to help the team out despite the terrible situation he and his family are currently going through.
