Report: Talented Tottenham academy starlet informs club he wants permanent exit

Tottenham Hotspur have a number of exciting young prospects in their academy at the moment, which was highlighted by a superb pre-season this year.

Pochettino, as he often does in these pre-season tours, decided to mix the squad up by fielding a mixture of first-team stars and up-and-coming academy players.

Troy Parrott impressed up front, while Japhet Tanganga was the pick of the bunch in defence. Harvey White, George Marsh, Anthony Georgiou, Jack Roles, Oliver Skipp, and more also featured.

Skipp is the latest academy graduate to come through into the first-team set-up, with Kyle Walker-Peters also a recent addition.

However, it looks as if the once highly-rated Marcus Edwards will not be joining the pack, as the player has reportedly asked to leave the club on a permanent deal (Football Insider).

The 20-year-old was not used by Pochettino in pre-season after his loan spell at Excelsior last campaign and it appears he is not in the manager’s immediate plans.
