According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, AC Milan’s efforts to secure a deal for Emerson Royal has been boosted after Tottenham dropped their asking price for the right-back.

Over the past couple of weeks, Spurs Web has brought to you a whole host of updates from Italy talking up the chances of Emerson Royal completing a switch to Milan and the latest update on the matter comes from Gazzetta, who say that there has been a key development in the saga.
AC Milan are keen on deal for Emerson Royal
It is explained that the Brazilian is quite keen on swapping the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the San Siro, with the biggest roadblock for the transfer being an economic agreement between the two clubs.
However, the chances of a deal being struck have now increased as Spurs have allegedly dropped their asking price from €30m (£25.5m) to €20m (£17m).

Talks are moving forward for Emerson Royal to AC Milan
The publication states that the Serie A club believe they have the approval from Emerson’s side and are now working to finalise a deal with the Premier League club.
It is revealed that there have now been new contact with the player’s representatives, with talks now moving forward.
Spurs Web Opinion
It appears like Emerson would be one of the first high-profile players to leave Spurs when the transfer window opens this summer.
However, I have to say that I am quite surprised that Tottenham are willing to drop their valuation at this stage of the window as the 25-year-old is likely to be in demand across Europe this summer.
The Brazilian did well to turn around his poor early form when he first joined Tottenham but is clearly not suited to Postecoglou’s style of inverted full backs with Pedro Porro clearly the first choice in the position.
