Tottenham Hotspur are always on the hunt for young and exciting prospects further down the tiers of English football, and the latest may be coming from West Brom.

London Football News report that initial talks have taken place between Spurs and West Brom over the future of young talent Rekeem Harper.

As part of the talks, an arrangement was mentioned that would see Harper return on loan to Albion for the new season.

However, the Birmingham Mail contrastingly reports that Harper is now inching closer to committing his future to his current club.

The report states that Albion tabled the new contract offer some time ago, but are increasingly optimistic that the 19-year-old will sign.

The midfielder enjoyed his breakthrough senior campaign last time out, appearing in 23 games for the Baggies.

Spurs have also reportedly had a bid accepted for Jack Clarke from Leeds this week, with the 18-year-old set to move after completing his medical yesterday (Standard).
