Report: talkSPORT name Spurs’ worst signing of the decade

This decade has seen some memorable moments for Spurs fans; from Peter Crouch’s header at the Eithad Stadium to reaching the Champions League final earlier this year.

However, one major criticism over the past 10 years has been some of Spurs’ recruitment in the transfer window.

Spurs supporters have seen some players under-performing in the past decade, including the likes of Vincent Janssen who only scored twice in 31 appearances in the Premier League. (Transfermarkt).

Central defender Federico Fazio and winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou could also be placed in the category of signings to forget.

talkSPORT has listed every Premier League club’s worst signing of the decade, including our beloved Tottenham Hotspur.

Roberto Soldado was chosen as Tottenham’s worst recruit after signing in 2013 following a prolific season in La Liga, scoring 30 goals in 46 games. (Transfermarkt).

The Spanish striker struggled in his two seasons at White Hart Lane, with just 16 goals in his 76 appearances.

After not adapting to life in the Premier League, Roberto Soldado left for Villarreal in 2015.

Spurs Web Opinion

No doubt Roberto Solaldo struggled in his time at Tottenham. But Vincent Janssen would be extremely close for first place also. The Dutchman only scored one goal from open play, scoring twice in 31 Premier League games. Georges-Kevin Nkoudou also failed to make an impression after signing in 2016. Who would you consider as the worst signing of the decade?
