Report: Tanguy Ndombele was suffering from dental problems that Spurs failed to detect

Tottenham Hotspur made a big statement in the summer when they broke their transfer record to sign Tanguy Ndombele just months after reaching the Champions League Final.

However, it has now been reported by L’Equipe that Ndombele had been suffering from dental problems, something that Spurs failed to detect upon signing him (Relayed by Get French Football News).

While the midfield man is said to be over the issues with his teeth now, it was deemed as issue worth at least mentioning in the L’Equipe report, perhaps indicating significant discomfort.

The Frenchman started life in North London well, scoring on his debut against Aston Villa in the Premier League.

While Ndombele enjoyed some fine performances during the early days under Mauricio Pochettino, he soon became plagued with injuries.

Once Pochettino was sacked and Mourinho took over, things changed again for the midfield man. The Special One singled Ndombele out to the media after subbing him off at half-time against Burnley in the Premier League (BBC).

Despite this, the record signing has still made 27 appearances in his debut season in England, scoring two goals in that time (Wikipedia).
