Tottenham Hotspur may have been keeping an eye on Royal Antwerp teenager Arthur Vermeeren, but the youngster is not expected to leave his current club right now, as no offers have been made for his services yet.
It is a very exciting time at Tottenham right now, with Ange Postecoglou assembling a formidable squad that is already showing signs it can compete at the very top of the Premier League.
However, the club also appears to be building for a bright future, too. The signings of Alejo Veliz and Ashley Phillips in the summer point towards a bigger focus on investment for further down the line.
Recently, the Lilywhites have also been linked with a move for Antonio Nusa, the 18-year-old winger making waves in the Belgian Pro League with Club Brugge (The Standard).

Arthur Vermeeren unlikely to make a move to Spurs yet
Now, it seems another Belgian prodigy is catching the attention of the North London club, with Arthur Vermeeren linked with Spurs of late. However, the latest from Football.London suggests we should not expect to see the young midfielder making the switch, for now at least.
Tottenham are known to have “scouted” the 18-year-old, and the report describes how Vermeeren has been “making a name for himself” while playing alongside former Spurs men, Toby Alderweireld and Vincent Janssen.
However, as for any concrete signs of the youngster moving on, the report claims “a move to the Premier League is not something in his immediate future.” In addition, it is thought there have “not yet been any offers” sent to Royal Antwerp from Premier League sides.

I do not recognise this club right now, but it’s amazing to see such a monumental shift in our transfer strategy. We are being bolder, more ambitious, and planning ahead so intelligently, and it’s a joy to behold.
