Report: The door may have re-opened for Spurs to sign Adarabioyo – With an added bonus

According to The Mail’s transfer confidential newsletter, Tottenham could swoop for Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo as Monaco are set to step up their interest in Davinson Sanchez.

It has been widely reported over the past few weeks that Spurs are battling Monaco for Adarabioyo’s services (Foot Mercato).

A few days ago, RMC Sport reporter Fabrice Hawkins revealed that Fulham are pushing the centre-back to choose Tottenham over Monaco as Cottagers boss Marco Silva wants to sign Eric Dier as part of the operation.

However, it was explained that the Fulham star himself prefers to join the Ligue 1 side over the Lilywhites.

Monaco could now move for Sanchez instead

According to the Mail’s latest update, there could be a twist in the saga as Monaco could abandon their pursuit of Adarabioyo in favour of a move for Sanchez.

It is explained that the club are yet to reach an agreement with Fulham over the centre-back and have identified the Tottenham man as an alternative. The report adds that this could potentially open the door for Spurs to win the race for Adarabioyo’s services.

Spurs Web Opinion

The fact that Adarabioyo has not yet sealed a move to Monaco despite weeks of speculation makes me suspect that both the player and Fulham are waiting for Tottenham to make a move for the centre-back once Ange Postecoglou’s men get some of their unwanted players out of the door.
