Report: The full price and sell-on clause Spurs have agreed in Brennan Johnson deal

Tottenham Hotspur have today managed to reach a deal with Nottingham Forest for Brennan Johnson.

The Athletic are reporting that the fee for the Welsh international will see Spurs pay Forest a fixed cost of £47.5 million with no add-ons included in the agreement.

Forest instead will receive a 10% share of a fee should Tottenham decide to sell him in the future.

Brennan Johnson set to sign five-year Spurs contract

The 22-year-old is set to sign a five-year deal with the North Londoners with the option of a further year and is currently heading south to undergo his medical at Hotspur Way.

Tottenham are back in Premier League action tomorrow when they make the trip to newcomers Burnley looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the top-flight campaign.

Ange Postecoglou suffered his first loss as Spurs boss earlier in the week when he made nine changes for the Carabao Cup tie at Fulham only to see his side exit on penalties.

Thankfully this deal has not dragged on until the cusp of 11 pm and will hopefully allow the club to focus on further new signings and also shifting some of the reluctant deadwood on, rather than hanging around the club collecting their wages.

Johnson is still raw at 22 and needs developing, he is by far the finished article who can walk straight into our starting eleven and fans will have to show patience.
