Report: The latest developments in Spurs’ chase for Paulo Dybala

Reports about Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Juventus forward Paulo Dybala have once again resurfaced over the past couple of days.

Sky Sports reported yesterday that Spurs had agreed on a £64.4m fee with Juventus for the Argentinean international. It was claimed that Mauricio Pochettino personally spoke to the 25-year-old and convinced him to make the move to North London.

However, it was claimed that Tottenham were yet to agree on personal terms with Dybala. The silky left-footer is reportedly earning £300,000 a week at Juventus according to The Guardian.

Sky Sports via Sky Italy have offered a positive update on the deal today by suggesting that Spurs are currently continuing to negotiate personal terms with Paulo Dybala as well as with Image Star, the company that owns the forward’s image rights.

Reaching an agreement with Image Star is expected to be a “difficult operation”.

Sky Sports also confirmed that Tottenham have refused to comment when asked about their move for Dybala.

If this move comes off, Tottenham will arguably have one of the most feared front lines in Europe in the form of Son Heung Min, Harry Kane and Paulo Dybala, with the likes of Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela also providing different options. With that kind of firepower at their disposal, there is no doubt that the club can challenge Manchester City and Liverpool.
