The Express have reported there is a belief that Mauricio Pochettino could still be tempted into a Tottenham return, despite currently managing at PSG.

The Argentine was sacked by Daniel Levy and co in November 2019, before being replaced by Jose Mourinho.

Since then, Tottenham have struggled under the Special One, sacked him, given Ryan Mason the interim job, hired Nuno Espirito Santo, and continue to struggle.

However, The Express claim that, just as Nuno is under pressure in North London after yet another 3-0 defeat to Man United, Pochettino is also ‘coming under fire’ at PSG.

Pochettino has admitted in the past that he would like to return to Tottenham one day in the future as he feels he has unfinished business at the club.

The former Spurs head coach was also linked with a return to North London in the summer, although he ended up remaining at the Parc des Princes.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I fully expect Pochettino to be back at Tottenham within the next two years. It looks as though his time will be limited at PSG and Levy definitely has one eye on his former friend, with Nuno just being a stop gap.

  1. Daniel Levy is to blame for the current situation.
We HAD one of our best manager’s ever, yet, he
    was disgracefully, unceremoniously sacked and
    Mourinho was his replacement.

Mourinho is a spent force. He is a has-been.
Pochettino was amazing! He had us playing
amazing football. He took us to the final of the
    Champions League.

He was NOT backed in terms of improving the
team, until it was too late. Now, we have a
situation where players who earn fortunes are
NOT playing for the manager or the jersey.

Nuno is out of his depth. Levy wouldn’t allow
Kane to leave, so now Kane has an ongoing
grievance against Levy and against the club.
This has permeated the team as a whole and
    has become destructive.

On paper at least, some of our players are
potential world-beaters, yet they are showing
complete indifference when they are on the
pitch. We have a billion pound stadium with
millionaire players, whom it seems, don’t
    want to be playing there.

Look around you Tottenham players, there
aren’t enough food-banks to cope with the
demand out there. Zero-hour contracts are
abound. Covid 19, 20 and 21 are still killing
people. And YOU are taking money from the
fans by deceit. They are booing you. When
Pochettino was our coach, they were roaring
    with success.

MY club has a wonderful history. If you can’t
be part of that history and make your own,
go somewhere else and ply your trade. WE
    don’t want you!

Between Levy’s treatment of Pochettino, the
parachuting in of Mourinho and playing hard-
ball with Harry Kane, division has been sown
and has grown weeds. Remove the weeds and
stop Daniel Levy further denegrating our club.

If I were Pochettino, I’d never return. Treatment
meted out to him and his coaching team was
appalling, having changed the football enormously.

Nuno has to go. Harry Kane has to be allowed to
leave and Daniel Levy has to stay out of chosing
who runs the footballing side of the club.

The other London clubs are all progressing. We are
not. We are a laughing stock. Managing Tottenham
Hotspur is seen as the poisoned-chalice. Potential
coaches distanced themselves and fifth choice Nuno
was gambled on. The gamble has not paid off.

We settled for mediocracy. Ergo: we have become
mediocre. Now we’ll settle for someone who is out
of a job, whether they are going to properly invest
their heart in what they do.

We had the people who did that. We got rid. Now
another period of throwing millions at people who
already have millions. We can’t buy success. We
have to create it. Players have to play for it. Many
are NOT. Next please. Who will we settle for?

Paratici has started well, with some of the
new blood he has brought to the club. That
said, it doesn’t matter how many millions
are spent on new blood, if the blood coursing
through their veins isn’t Tottenham inspired.

It has been noticeable that other premiership
clubs that have bought new players, seem to
have them put their hearts and souls into
playing for their new team and team mates.

It has been noticeable that the same can’t be
said of new players who’ve signed for Spurs.
    WHY? Something is fundamentally wrong!
That and many other basics has to be looked at
instead of knee-jerk reactions every time the
    wheels come off the stagecoach.

If we can’t get Pochettino to return, chose an
Emglish/British coach. Find someone who really
wants the job and not the millions. PLEASE.
Antonio Conte is NOT the right man. Howe is
NOT the right man. Fonseca is NOT the right man.
