According to iNews, there is belief in scouting circles that rumoured Tottenham target, Evan Ferguson, could be worth £100m in the not-too-distant future.
There is plenty of excitement surrounding Ferguson at Brighton since he made his debut for the club back in 2021.
The teenager is very much a modern-day centre-forward, who is capable of linking up play while also knowing where the back of the net is.
The 18-year-old has found the back of the net seven times for the Seagulls in 16 appearances this season (Transfermarkt) and he opened his account for the Republic of Ireland in their 3-2 win over Latvia on Thursday.
The Sun reported last month that Spurs are interested in Ferguson and believe that the striker can follow in Kane’s footsteps.
The Mirror subsequently revealed three weeks ago that the Lilywhites could face competition from Newcastle United for the Brighton starlet this summer.
MORE SPURS STORIES
iNews have now claimed that Ferguson is very highly thought of in the scouting circles, with many expecting the youngster to develop into one of the best strikers in the world over the coming years.
Spurs Web Opinion
Spurs will not find it easy to attract an up-and-coming superstar like Ferguson as he will have doubts about getting regular game time at N17.
In fact, given that he seems to have won Robert De Zerbi’s trust, I do not see the 18-year-old being too desperate to jump ship from the Amex Stadium this summer.
