Report: There will be no away fans at Tottenham-hosted Champions League match

Tottenham Hotspur were drawn in a group with Bayern Munich, Olympiacos, and Red Star Belgrade for the Champions League this season.

Spurs have already recorded a draw away to Olympiacos in Greece and are set to welcome Bayern to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the next week.

There will surely be plenty of passionate Germans making the trip to North London, but it has now been revealed that no away fans will be attending another one of Spurs’ home games.

UEFA has banned Red Star Belgrade fans from purchasing tickets for the Tottenham away match due to recent racist chanting (Sky Sports).

The chanting in question came in the qualifying rounds of the tournament against HJK Helsinki back in July. The match against Tottenham falls on October 22nd.

This may come as a boost to Spurs as they won’t have to deal with any form of away support on the night, meaning it will be a stadium full of roaring Tottenham supporters.
