Report: This Spurs star is considering his future at the club

Tottenham Hotspur have largely been performing beyond expectation this season, but there has been one problem position for Mauricio Pochettino, and that is right-back.

Kieran Trippier has been below par all season, following his heroics for England at the World Cup in Russia last summer.

The full-back has recently put his poor form down to a long-term groin injury that he has been dealing with all season (teamTALK).

The Daily Mail now report that Trippier fears his days are numbered at Tottenham due to his performances over the past season.

The report adds that Tottenham are willing to let the 28-year-old defender leave this summer, and are hoping for an offer of around £30m for his services.

Manchester United, Everton, and Napoli are listed as potentially interested parties, and it is understood that Trippier has already talked to his team-mates about his possible departure.

Say what you want about his performance this season, Trippier has been a good servant under Pochettino, and a Champions League winners medal would be a fitting parting gift if he is to leave this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I believe that Trippier, on his day, offers a threat going forward. His crossing is up there with the very best in the league, and Harry Kane has particularly profited from this in the past. I would say that Aurier is just as bad defensively and offers less going forward, so Spurs should sell him, let Tripps recover from his injury properly over the summer, and keep him as a back-up for next season.
