Report: This transfer clause may allow Spurs to save Clarke from Leeds nightmare

Tottenham Hotspur ended their 18-month transfer drought with the smart signing of Leeds wonderkid, Jack Clarke, earlier this summer.

While the youngster was not set to appear for Spurs this season, fans would have at least hoped to see him in action for the Championship team after he rejoined them on loan.

However, it hasn’t exactly been a dream start to the campaign for young Clarke, as he has repeatedly been omitted from matchday squads and left on the bench.

In fact, his only game time so far this season has come in the form of an EFL Cup win and some minutes for the U23 side.

This isn’t exactly what Spurs would have been hoping for when they loaned out the teenager in order for him to gain some extra experience.

Football Insider now report that a clause in the loan deal allows Spurs to recall Clarke in the January window if they wish.

If Leeds continue to leave him out of the squad, this could become a real possibility.
