Report: Three Championship clubs interested in signing Parrott on loan from Spurs

According to Sunday World, Queens Park Rangers, Sunderland, and Preston North End are all keen on signing Tottenham striker Troy Parrott on loan.

Parrott spent last season on loan at MK Dons in League One, scoring ten times and assisting seven more in 47 appearances for Liam Manning’s men (TransferMarkt).

The 20-year-old’s fine form has reportedly caught the attention of the trio of Championship clubs.

However, Football.London claim that there is a ‘growing excitement’ within Spurs that Parrott is on the path to making himself a success in N17.

The youngster has travelled with the first-team squad to their pre-season tour of South Korea, with Antonio Conte ready to assess his new-look squad (Football.London).

Parrott has already made 15 appearances for the Republic of Ireland, scoring four times (TransferMarkt).

However, with head coach Stephen Kenny reportedly keen for his players to all play regular first-team football in order to ensure they stay in his plans, it remains to be seen whether Parrott will be content to stay at Spurs this season or go out on loan.

Spurs Web Opinion

I think Parrott will struggle to break into Conte’s first-team plans for the upcoming season. With Spurs adding Richarlison to the squad, the backup striker role is now fulfilled.

I think the Lilywhites may decide to seek out another loan move for Parrott, but whether he would be content with this solution is another question.
