Report: Three Championship clubs vying to sign Spurs man on loan in January

According to a report from Football Insider, Jack Clarke is a wanted man in the Championship, with Stoke City, Coventry City and Sheffield Wednesday fighting it out to sign the Tottenham youngster on loan.

Following his unsuccessful loan spells at Leeds and QPR last term, Tottenham decided against loaning Clarke out in the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old has been involved with the Under-23s and has also managed two first-team appearances for the North Londoners this campaign, coming in the form of Europa League cameos (transfermarkt.com).

It was reported earlier this month that Jose Mourinho had given the green light for Clarke to go out on loan in the second half of the season.

Football Insider have now revealed that Tottenham want the wide man to drop down to the Championship to get some game time under his belt.

Stoke, Coventry and Sheffield Wednesday reportedly believe that the youngster can make a big impact at their respective clubs in the second half of the season.

The most important criteria when it comes to deciding where to loan out Clarke should not be the team’s style of play or where they are in the Championship table. The decision should be strictly made based on where he is likely to get the most game time.
