Report: Three clubs interested in signing player admired by Fabio Paratici

CalcioMercato have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur could face competition for Nicolo Zaniolo from across Europe, with clubs in Italy, Spain and England interested in the Roma winger.

Zaniolo has struggled to recapture his old form since returning from an ACL injury and the wide man has lost his status as a mainstay in the Roma side under Jose Mourinho this season.

Calciomercato.it claimed earlier this month that Fabio Paratici is an admirer of the 22-yer-old and that Roma could be willing to listen to offers for the player in the summer starting from €40m (£33.8m).

Sky Italia subsequently claimed that Spurs ‘dream’ of snapping up the Italy international in the summer and partnering him with Harry Kane.

However, if CalcioMercato’s latest update is to be believed, the North London club could face quite a bit of competition for Zaniolo’s signature in the summer.

The report claims that Juventus, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid are considering a move for the winger when the transfer market reopens.

Spurs Web Opinion

Zaniolo has looked a shadow of his old self this season but Antonio Conte might fancy his chances of getting the best out of the 22-year-old as there is no doubt that he has an abundance of talent.

However, there would be risk involved in signing Zaniolo following his ACL injury last season and I do wonder if other options like Dybala would be more appealing to the Spurs hierarchy.
