Report: Three PL clubs have made offers to Spurs-linked attacking midfielder

The Athletic have revealed that three different Premier League clubs have submitted proposals to Jesse Lingard, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Lingard is available on a free transfer this summer after his contract with Manchester United ran out.

The Telegraph reported last month that Tottenham are continuing to keep tabs on the 29-year-old this summer, with the North London club said to be keen on signing a creative midfielder before the transfer window closes.

The Athletic have now stated that the England international will make a decision on his future next week and wants to be at a new club by Friday.

The report claims that Lingard will not be moving to MLS this summer but he is said to be considering an offer from Saudi Arabia, which would see him earn a salary of £10m per year.

It is alleged that the former Manchester United’s man preference would be to remain in England, with three different Premier League clubs thought to have sent offers to him.

The Athletic name West Ham and Everton as two of the interested clubs.

Spurs Web Opinion

I would be surprised if Tottenham ended the transfer window without signing a creative midfielder, particularly given that Lo Celso and Ndombele seem certain to depart.

However, I do not think Lingard would be open to a move to Spurs as the 29-year-old would hardly get any game time in north London.
