Report: Three Premier League clubs are interested in signing Spurs forward

Spurs winger, Manor Solomon, had his season ended in October last year after suffering a meniscus injury with the forward only making a return to action last month. It appears as though Solomon could head out on loan this season though, with plenty of Premier League interest.

Solomon has only made six appearances for Tottenham

Tottenham signed the 25-year-old last summer on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk. However, the move wasn’t without controversy as Shakhtar’s president claimed that Spurs acted like a ‘robber on the road’ and took advantage of Ukraine’s situation to sign the winger. (Telegraph)

Paul O’Keefe announced on the 7th of August that Tottenham could move on Solomon this summer with various clubs from both Germany and Spain interested in signing the player on a loan deal.

Premier League sides are interested in loaning Solomon

It’s not just German and Spanish sides that want to bring Solomon in on loan now, according to TBR Football, who have reported that Brighton, Leicester and Wolves are all also interested in signing Tottenham’s forward on loan.

There is now believed to be a growing interest in the former Fulham forward among Premier League clubs.

TBR Football has stated that Tottenham would be open to selling Solomon, rather than just a loan, in order to pocket some profit.

However, that news is contrary to Shay Luggasi’s report who claimed any loan deal would be without a purchase clause with the player deemed not for sale.

Spurs Web opinion

A loan move is likely to be a smart move for both Tottenham and Solomon.

Due to the winger being a senior, established player, he could grow frustrated with a lack of game time.

Tottenham may not want to block the pathway of exciting winger, Mikey Moore, too and moving Solomon out on loan could allow for that whilst also paving the way for a new winger to be signed, amid links to Pedro Neto.
