Report: Time is running out for Spurs to trigger £4.3m managerial release clause

Time is running out for Tottenham Hotspur to trigger Oliver Glasner’s release cause at Wolfsburg.

The Daily Express claim that there is a break clause in the manager’s current deal at Wolfsburg which is due to expire at the end of April, allowing any interested party to land his services for £4.3million.

Glasner has impressed with the Bundesliga outfit this season, with the club currently third in the table and on course to secure Champions League football for next season.

The 46-year-old has been linked with both RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt (Bulinews), only for Leipzig to instead appoint Jesse Marsch from sister club RB Salzburg.

The Express report that Glasner has emerged as a contender to succeed Jose Mourinho as head coach in North London.

Daniel Levy’s hopes of appointing Julian Nagelsmann were ended earlier this week when the 33-year-old was confirmed as taking over from Hansi Flick at Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
