The Telegraph have reported that Richarlison has now emerged as a top target for Saudi Arabian clubs in the January transfer market.

The report claims that both Mo Salah and Heung-min Son are long-term bog-name targets for the Saudi Pro League, but are ‘almost certainly unavailable’ during the middle of the season.

As such, it is said that attention has turned towards Richarlison and out-of-favour Manchester United winger, Jadon Sancho. Both were apparently subject to interest from Saudi Arabia at the end of the summer transfer window too.

Should Tottenham cash in on Richarlison in January?

Al-Ittihad are said to have ‘made a late check’ on Richarlison but Tottenham had no interest in parting with the Brazilian, particularly after Harry Kane had already departed to Bayern Munich.

It remains to be seen whether any Saudi clubs actually come in with bids for Richarlison and a price tag is not mentioned by The Telegraph, although Spurs paid £60m for the striker in 2022 (SkySports).

Spurs Web Opinion:

I would be surprised if Tottenham cashed in during the middle of the season, but if someone came in with a bid for Richarlison that offered to recoup most of the original fee paid, I reckon Daniel Levy would at least take a look at it.
