Tottenham are scouting Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Sottil ahead of a possible summer move according to reports.
Calcio Mercato claim that Spurs have already sent a scout to cast an eye over Sottil when he was in action for the club’s U-21 side.
The 20-year-old came off the bench for La Viola as they fell to a 2-1 defeat to Atlanta at home on Saturday.
Tottenham reportedly sent their representative again to run the rule over the young Italian last weekend.
Sottil has started getting more opportunities for the Fiorentina first team this season after impressing on loan at Pescara last campaign.
Although he is used predominantly on the left-hand side of midfield, the technically proficient youngster can reportedly also play on the right as well as in a central role.
The report claims that the midfielder recently signed a new deal with the Serie A club until 2024.

Based on the signings we made in January as well as the players we are being linked with, it is clear that the club is going to continue its policy of buying young talent rather than established superstars. Perhaps this is a sign that Mourinho isn’t necessarily aiming for the short term like in his previous stints.
